Élodie Lascar grew up in Israel before settling in Paris. In 2014, after graduating from the École des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg, she moved to Marseille, where she currently lives and works. The Mediterranean and Mediterranean women then became her primary source of inspiration. In 2019, in order to bring her drawings to life, she launched Tanqué, a collection of swimsuits and beach towels, in collaboration with Ines Sassi. Her first comic, Sultana, co-written with Lili Sohn and published by Steinkis in 2023, is naturally set in Marseille and follows several months in the life of Sarah, a 35-year-old woman going through an existential crisis. In addition to her work as an author, she frequently collaborates with French and international magazines, national newspapers, and cultural venues.
